You are invited to become part of a Tuscan family sharing the work in the kitchen. You’ll learn how to clean fresh truffles to be prepared to be added to typical Tuscan receipts. This cooking lesson is, first of all, a way to understand truffles.
Among the questions a tourist makes when approaches the world of truffles two are very common: "How to buy it without being cheated?" and also "Where can I eat it and be sure that no artificial products are used in its preparation?".
Starting today, a simple and enjoyable cooking course of a few hours will give you the necessary tools to answer these questions and dispel any doubts: an expert will reveal to you the secrets of the sight, smell, and taste for the authenticity and purity of truffles; also a chef will take you to step by step into the kitchen to suggest various combinations you can use to enhance the quality of His Majesty the White Truffle of San Miniato.
In case you prefer not to drive we can book you a car/minivan with a personal chauffeur, the cost is € 250 up to 3 people and € 300 up to 8 people. Please specify it in the booking form.
People stand in Florence, we suggest taking a train from Florence to San Miniato. It starts every 60 min from Florence and stops at San Miniato train station, the ride is about 40 min, the cost for a round trip is approximately € 11 per person. Please check the time table here

I'd give this truffle hunt and cooking class six stars and two thumbs up! Informative and fun, the truffle hunt with Francesca was a great walk in the woods with Coco showing his penchant for finding both white and black truffles. The cooking class truly felt like an inclusive family experience with Francesca's mom teaching us the finer points of making gnocchi and stuffed zucchini with truffle sauce, of course! The meal was yummy, the wine flowed, and a good time was had by all! Bravo! Gracias!
Wonderful! I can’t say enough about the beautiful place, the hunt and the dog that helped us finding truffles. It was an experience I won’t ever forget! I can thank enough Francesca and her mom and all the great people that makes the all experience amazing! And the food that I learned how to make using the same truffle we found in the woods were amazing! Thank you!
My fiancé and I went on an early January 2023 Truffle Hunt in San Miniato with Francesca and her adorable chocolate Lagoto followed by a cooking class with her mother and mother-in-law at their lovely home/villa! What an incredible day with the warm and knowledgeable family. This was most definitely a highlight after spending 2 weeks in Italy.
